Opposition activists sentenced to three years in Belarus
Minsk: Human Rights Center Viasna expresses its decisive protest against the criminal case against the oppositional activists Paviel Sieviaryniets and Mikalai Statkievich. According to the court verdict, both politicians were sentenced to three years of jail on 31 May. (3-JUNE-05) 03 Jun 2005 »

Oslo: Demonstrations against the Usbek regime
Oslo: On May 26 around 50 people participated in the demonstration against the killings of hundreds of civilians in Usbekistan May 13. According to media reports, several hundred civilians were killed when Uzbeki troops opened fire on a crowd of demonstrators on the Babur Square of the city in Andijan in the evening of 13 May. HRH to co-host seminar on women, war and peace in Northern Uganda
On Thursday, 2 June, the Human Rights House Foundation and the Norwegian Council for Africa co-host a seminar at the Norwegian Human Rights House in Oslo, on women, war and peace in Northern Republic of Uganda.
