The UPR Process - Occasion to Strengthen Civil Society and Improve Human Rights in B&H
Universal Periodic Review (UPR) is new mechanism of the Human Rights Council under which it will review, on a regular basis, the fulfillment by all 192 UN Member States of their human rights obligations and commitments.

According to the already established timetable, Bosnia and Herzegovina is on the agenda of the HRC during its Seventh Session scheduled for February 2010. It means that all the relevant reports, including the reports of NGO's and from the Government, are to be submitted by September 2009.
Regarding the above mentioned, Human Rights House of Sarajevo started with the implementation of the project "The UPR Process - Occasion to Strengthen Civil Society and Improve Human Rights in B&H". More info on the project is available below.

Human Rights House of Sarajevo together with other civil society actors, is implementing a project "The UPR Process - Occasion to Strengthen Civil Society and Improve Human Rights in B&H". The project envisions creation of a broad NGO informal coalition, set of public debates on human rights issues, establishment of a regular dialogue with BH authorities, ratification of the relevant international HR instruments and at final phase, improvement of the human rights record in B&H. 25 Jun 2009 »
